Enjoy the decor of the Florida Keys at Disney’s Old Key West Resort. Surrounded by waterways, palm trees, and golf courses, this resort will offer a sense of peacefulness in the midst of the busy theme parks. Located near Disney Springs, there is plenty to do.
This deluxe villa property is a boat ride away from Disney Springs. Bus transportation is available to all of the theme parks.
Similar to Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, this resort is also quite expansive. If you are planning on utilizing Disney Race Transportation, be sure to ask for a room near the Hospitality House. This resort is a Disney Vacation Club property, however any guest can reserve a room.
This resort boasts the largest rooms, including deluxe studios (similar to a regular resort room), 1-bedroom villas, 2-bedroom villas, and a Grand Villa. The 1- and 2-bedroom villas include a full kitchen, and multiple bathrooms, which are great for runDisney race weekends.
As for recreation, this resort has a lot to offer! Enjoy a game of tennis, basketball, volleyball, or head to the game room or Community Hall for some friendly competition. A fitness center is available, as well as running paths around the property. Rent a bike or do some fishing along the waterways. There is even a campfire in the evening, or watch a movie under the stars. The Sandcastle Pool includes a water slide and jacuzzi, and there are also three smaller pools throughout the resort.
There are a few quick service dining options, including a snack bar near the pool area. Olivia’s Cafe is a table service meal inspired by the islands, open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
During a runDisney race weekend, Disney’s Old Key West is a great option for those families wanting extra space. The multi-bedroom options offer a place for the runner to get ready without waking up everyone and the kitchen option allows for flexibility in terms of meals. Spectators will need to take race transportation as no courses pass by this resort.
