As Disney enthusiasts, Krista and Megan have visited the parks many times. However when it came to adding a runDisney race, it was something completely new and even overwhelming!
Together, they researched all over the internet and beyond, looking for information on how to navigate a runDisney race weekend. That’s when it hit them – put the information in one location!

Krista Albrecht is an avid recreational runner who has completed numerous 10Ks, runDisney events and the New York City Marathon. She visits various Disney destinations multiple times each year with her family. From the Kids’ Races to the Dopey Challenge, all members of her family have participated in runDisney races. Along with participating in runDisney events, she has also served as cheerleader for her husband who has completed multiple runDisney challenges and her daughter who is an avid competitor in the 200m Dash at Disney’s Kids’ Race.
Krista will be back again for many races in fall 2014, experiencing the races in multiple aspects. She will also return as a runner for the 2015 Glass Slipper Challenge in February. Krista currently resides in Florida with her husband and daughter.
Megan Biller is an avid runner and Disney enthusiast and has been visiting Walt Disney World since she was just a toddler. The love of Disney only grew as she continued to visit the parks and sail on the cruise line. Having been athletic all her life, she took to running, and has experienced multiple runDisney events, including the inaugural Dopey Challenge. Her husband is a recurrent ChEAR Squad member and personal photographer for her events, encouraging her along the way. As a gluten free runner, Megan has insight on the best gluten free meals at Walt Disney World.
Megan will be returning to Florida in January 2015 as she runs the Walt Disney World 10K and Walt Disney World Marathon, as well as the inaugural Castaway Cay Challenge on the Disney Cruise Line. She also looks forward to running the Glass Slipper Challenge with Krista in February. Megan lives in Michigan with her husband.
